
An ACCM Volunteer Has The Following
Rights:
To be respected and treated fairly as an ACCM
Volunteer
To be well informed about the organization and
changes that are occurring
To be trusted with confidential information
on a need to know basis related to my area of volunteer work
To receive volunteer support and encouragement
for the work done (this could include volunteer bereavement)
To receive appropriate appreciation and recognition
on a regular basis
To have the opportunity to give feedback in
the volunteer assignment to their Program Director and the Director
of Volunteers.
To be heard, recognized and respected for your
own experiences and the expertise you bring to the organization;
To be given opportunities for communications
with other volunteers
To work for an organization that is actively
opposed to illegal discrimination and HIV/AIDS-phobia
As an ACCM volunteer, I have the right to refuse
a client and/or volunteer of any service while under the influence
of illegal drugs and/or alcohol
To become a member of ACCM and attend the Annual
General Meeting.
