Important Notice About ACCM Services

December 2008

Everything is back to normal....

    January 2008

We have returned to the office for our regular hours, although things are not completely back to normal. There are still issues with the main office dooor and with wheelchair access to the space (a chair will not make it past the waiting area near the recycling bins because of an insensitively placed support pole), but we are otherwise back to normal in terms of services.

We are leaving this section up to give you access to photos of what the space is like, but don't let them deter you from dropping by to see it in person, to pay your Buyers' Club order, or any other thing that you would normally come to see us about.

    Monday, 10 December 2007

The City informed us approximately two weeks ago that our projected date of return to the building would be 17 December. There are some indications that this might have been optimistic, and that our return will be later. We have made arrangements, with the help of the Église Sacré Coeur, to run the Buyers' Club distribution from their premises on 20 December. In the meantime, we continue to operate from the Drop In Resource Centre and we continue to have access to our phone messages and to our e-mails.

In case you are a little curious, here are some photos from last Friday, when we were allowed to return to the office to retrieve additional files and materials. The photos show the office with the newly-installed support poles that will be in place until some more permanent solution to supporting the wall can be carried out.

    Friday, 9 November 2007

Please note that there are some structural problems with the building which houses our offices at 2075 Plessis. These problems have led the City of Montréal (our landlord) to ask all of the organizations in the building to evacuate temporarily while the problem is assessed and repaired.

We hope to be reintegrated into the building soon.

We would like to inform our members and supporters about the continuity of our services and actities during this period.

First of all, I would like to emphasize that our Drop In Resource Centre, located elsewhere, continues to function according to its usual schedule. The phone number of the Drop In Resource Centre is 514 529 9462.

Secondly, we continue to have access to most of our means of communications, including our voice mail through our principal phone number (514 527 0928) and our various e-mail addresses. If you wish to send us a fax but have the alternative of e-mailing the content, please choose the e-mail option. We are maintaining our various external activities, although certain of our volunteer training activities have been postponed for the moment.

    The Buyers' Club

We have decided to cancel the Food portion of the Buyers' Club for November. We are contacting those who have already paid for their purchases to make arrangements with them. Do not fear: the Buyers' Club will be back with force in December!

We are maintaining the Vitamins and Supplements portion of the Buyers' Club for November, and the deadline for placing orders continues to be next Wednesday (14 November) at 3 pm. As it is a little more difficult to reach us, we will accept orders placed by phone at the Drop In Resource Centre (514 529 9462) or by e-mail (club@accmontreal.org) (we will arrange payments and the distribution of products).

We thank you very much for your concern and your support. We will work to keep you updated in this space as new information becomes available to us.
